Sara Taylor
Podiatrist
During my active youth, I experienced several injuries, including the infamous shin splints. Unfortunately, I received inadequate education and treatment, which hindered my ability to train and perform at my desired level.
This experience inspired me to study podiatry, so I could help others stay healthy and active by identifying any biomechanical or training issues that may be holding them back from achieving their sporting and fitness goals.

While I enjoy and am experienced in all aspects of podiatry, I am particularly interested in the role that hormones play in pain and dysfunction, including the impact of hormone changes at menopause.
I believe hormone changes plays a significant role in musculoskeletal pain for many women, and this area has been largely understudied and unrecognised to date.

I graduated from QUT in 2011 and began working full-time at a large multidisciplinary clinic in Brisbane's north. This experience exposed me to a diverse patient base, including routine skin and nail care, nail surgery, musculoskeletal injuries, and pediatrics. With the constant support of my mentor, I was able to confidently apply what I learned at university into practice.
After having my children, I joined Foot Faults to continue my career within a clinic that offers the best technology, facilities, and podiatric and support staff. My approach to treatment involves combining orthotic therapy and footwear advice with exercise-based treatment plans and physical therapies such as shock wave and dry needling. This approach allows my clients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Outside of work, I have always enjoyed traveling. Before having children, I traveled extensively throughout Europe and parts of America and Asia.
Now, I spend most of my time running around at local parks, in the pool or at the beach with my three little boys Jude, Charlie, and Samuel.
My husband and I hope to resume our global adventures soon and introduce our boys to the world of travel and adventure.

I also provide Podiatry care at home, and in aged care facilities, for clients unable to attend a clinic.
