Edward (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome)
Meet Edward, an extraordinary young man, with an extraordinary story.
His life had been affected by Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) long before he was diagnosed at 20 yrs of age. At school he was unfortunately labeled a ‘ bad’ kid and often spent many classes outside the principal’s office due to his inability to participate in class, poor concentration, and avoidance of all sports. Knowing Edward’s quiet, gentle and caring demeanor he is as far from a troublemaker as you could get. Eventually, a chance visit to a GP resulted in a diagnosis being found and it was more a sense of relief for Edward and his family as they really didn’t know what to do next. Things have only been on the up since the diagnosis but recently Foot Faults, along with his allied health team were able to supercharge his abilities and he now has a new lease on life.
